Some observations conserning ROTGSI have been busy grinding away at the Godslayer content much like most of the player base. Like some have pointed out on this forum I have noticed the drop off in players of late on Xfire and in game as well. It is my opinion this is due to the excessive grind in ROTGS. It should be obvious by now that more than a few people are voting with their feet and moving on to other games that provide a more immediate loot fix. While I would not want to see the loot rained on the players like mana from heaven the 1 million faction points and the number of tokens required to get the gear is way over the top.
Another issue has been with the game sense inception and that is the loot rot problem. I know how much people love WOW over here but this is one area where they did the right thing for sure. I would urge Funcom to adopt the same system of dropping a token that can be exchanged for a set item for any class that needs it instead of dropping an specific set item for a single class. The result of this issue is people in my guild have played for over a year looking for one or two items to complete a set with no luck.
The last area that I feel needs a major rework is the looking for group system not sure what would work best but some effort over a period of time should improve the current LFG system. I am sure of one thing is that this will take some trial and error to get right but it will be worth it in the end.
