Your Top Five issues with AoCThe purpose of this thread is to try get general consensus of the top five issues that are most important to players.After we tally up the votes in this thread.We will start new thread with the consensus top five issues which hopeful get sticked,If the thread is not sticked the thread will be bump back to front page at least every month,To update any progress or lack of progress.
Why do we need to do this?Because i have seen many great suggestions and threads but issues go ignored because list are unfocused and too many.Funcom see thousands of complaints and complaints threads what should they focus on? We need create something that is easily focus on.Where the prime issues is easily accessible.
The second need for this is accountability,A common theme in many these complaint threads,Stamina has always been a issue,CC has always been an issue.When thread is bump up every month the issue will be noted how long it has not been fixed.New Player and Older player alike will see how long issue has been there put pressure on funcom to address the issue.
Today is Sunday,On Saturday we compile the list and put the first thread up next Sunday.So what you are doing is this,If you walk into funcom office and got to talk to Craig Morrison and he told to you make a list and they work these 5 issues what would they be
My List looks like(yes i stole them from Community brain storming thread)
PvP
1.Stamina fix: Stamina drain should be different for each class, the rogues being affected the least by sprinting, then the soldiers, then the mages/priests. This promotes realism and affects balance.
2.Crowd Control: Chain CCing is not cool. IYAM, each CC should result in an immunity to all CC for 5 seconds, and obviously the previous CC for a minute. This game has become too much of a CC battle
3.Health Pools: As it is now, health pools are way too large. A ~30% reduction (varying by class) would be pretty nice. Currently, battles last way too long, find a balance that doesn't result in one shots but also doesn't make combat seem drawn out.
4.Sieges: for the love of God can we fix these things? 18 months and i have seen 2 flawless sieges (1 was 24v24). The lag is bad enough, add to it only casters and a few tanks are worth bringing, and then further add to it few guilds can even put up 48 players. IMO, 2 BKs should be 48v48 and the other 6 should be 24v24. obviously, the 2 larger ones offering a bit more as far as BK invulns and whatnot go.
5.Minigames: After 18 months the exact same minigames are still the only option for small scale PvP. New minigame maps and gamemodes are desperately needed and more than just 6v6: 2v2, 6v6, 12v12, etc.
PVE
1.Clearly Define Roles: Aside from the MT and MH, no one else really has an important role in PvE. Bosses should require the DPSers do something beyond spamming 2 spells/combos over and over.
2.Itemization: PvE gear needs stats that apply to PvE only, like heroic from 1.04. Gives more options to make PvE gear meaningful while not affecting PvP.
3.Difficulty: Age of Conan's PvE is easy. I'll give you the fact that the scripts of each boss do indeed take a bit to understand, but after doing so, each fight is an absolute breeze. There is more to making a fight difficult than the initial script. Need to be more dynamic, make people actually think.
4.Have a guild transfer to another server option or guild city refund option.
